IATA Agent

Eligibility Criteria

 

The application for recognition in the prescribed format must be submitted along with the necessary documentation.

 

  • The agency's capital must be at least Rs. 3.00 lakh.
  • Along with audited balance accounts, a certificate from a Chartered Accountant outlining the agency's capital investment is needed.
  • The organisation must be authorised by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) or be a General or Passenger Sales agent for a carrier that has been so authorised.
  • The organisation was required to have been in operation for at least a year prior to applying.
  • The company's office must be organised, maintained, and clean in India. 
  • The office must be at least 100 sq ft. in areas more than 1000 metres above sea level.

 

Taxes and Fees

 

  • The organisation must have submitted its IT return for the year in question.
  • When requesting recognition, a fee of INR 3,000 must be paid.

 

Miscellaneous

 

  • In the agency's office, the Certificate of Approval and Company Registration Online must always be visible.
  • The Ministry of Tourism's judgement is final in all cases involving the recognition and renewal of licences.
  • Additionally, the Ministry of Tourism has the authority to revoke a licence if it sees fit.
  • But first, a Show Cause Notice will be sent to the corporation informing it of the approaching choice.
